Celiac Disease

Celiac disease (CD) is diagnosed and monitored by serological testing for anti-t-TG and anti-gliadin antibodies. For the first-line approach to diagnosis of CD testing for anti-t-TG IgA autoantibodies associated with the test for total IgA is recommended as IgA deficiency is more common in CD than in the general population¹.

Our Celiac disease panel enables laboratories to assess Celiac Disease in line with international consensus guidelines⁵ through enhanced quality and workflow efficacy immunoassays:

• Anti-tissue transglutaminase IgA as preferred initial test for detection of CD which assesses in parallel the total IgA levels for identification of IgA deficiency
• Anti-tissue transglutaminase IgG and Anti-Deamidated Gliadin (IgG and IgA) for further diagnosis of Celiac Disease
