Credit for returned goods will not be issued without pre-approval from IDS Inc. in the form of an assigned Returned Goods Authorization number. CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
IDS Inc's shipping responsibility ceases with safe delivery in good condition to the transportation company. Upon receipt, the Customer should count and inspect freight before the carrier departs. Claims by the Customer for damage in transit should be made to the transit company. When damaged freight is received or when the shipment is short, a detailed notation should be made on the delivery receipt and signed by the carrier's driver. When damage is detected after delivery, notify the carrier immediately, but within 10 days of delivery, and request a "concealed damage inspection report" on the damaged goods. The shipping container must be saved until the carrier's inspection has been made. The Customer is responsible for filing freight claims. Assistance may be obtained by calling IDS' Customer Service.
